Natural homemade deodorant’s instructions
Many people are nervous about using store bought deodorants and antiperspirants because they don’t know
exactly what is in it and what they could be doing to their bodies. If you are one of these people, you might want to try and make your own homemade aluminum and paba free liquid deodorant as a much safer alternative.
To make your own homemade all natural deodorant, you are going to need the following items: a spray bottle to apply the deodorant with, 1/4 cup of witch hazel extract, 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel, 1/2 cup of mineral water, 1 teaspoon of vegetable glycerin, two drops of lavender oil and three drops of tea tree oil.
Lavender not only adds a nice smell to your homemade deodorant, but it is also an antiseptic. The tea tree oil acts not only as an antiseptic, but is also an antibacterial and fights germs. You can also add any essential oils you like to get a different or stronger scent.
For this recipe you can combine all your homemade deodorant ingredients right in your spray bottle, so there is no need to have to find a way to transfer them later, or dirty up an extra dish or bottle.
The first step is to add the mineral water to your deodorant spray bottle. Now you are going to pour in the vegetable glycerin and the aloe vera gel. Put the cap back on the spray bottle and shake the whole mixture until it is all blended together well. This might take a lot of shaking, but you want the deodorant to be as smooth as possible.
Now, you are going to add to the deodorant mixture the witch hazel extract and the essential oils. Then shake everything again until it is mixed well and the mixture looks nice and smooth. You might have to shake it again every time before you apply it.
To apply your all-natural deodorant, simple spray it under each arm once or twice. Before you get dressed it is a good idea to wait a minute or two for the mixture to dry.
While this homemade deodorant recipe is much safer than any store bought antiperspirants, keep in mind that it is only a deodorant. It isn’t going to stop you from sweating, but it will disinfect your perspiration and cover up the smell. Plus, you won’t have to worry about what you are putting into your body.
